9th grade Transition Camp

Alleghany County Schools will be partnering with local business and industry, GEARUP, and WCC to offer a four day, My Future Alleghany Camp to rising 9th graders at Alleghany High School, and your student is invited to attend.   Dates to be determined.  

The focus of My Future Alleghany will be:

  • to assist students in successfully transitioning from 8th grade to the high school
  • college and career readiness
  • individual growth and team success skills
  • fun, engaging, outdoor activities

The hours will be 8:00 am until 1:00 pm.  Breakfast and lunch will be provided each day.

This will be an opportunity for students to learn success skills while having fun, taking field trips to local businesses and industry and college partners, and a few extra special activities that are still in the planning stages. Please be on the lookout for more information.
